First Niagara Bank
As a community bank, First Niagara believes that making quality educational opportunities affordable to everyone is an investment in our communities and in our future workforce. First Niagara has been a long supporter of Gateway Community College and established a named scholarship program in support of both the college and the students it serves, particularly high performing low-and moderate income students with financial needs.
Our partnership with Gateway extends back to our predecessor banks. When Gateway Community College broke ground on their new state-of-the art campus in downtown New Haven, First Niagara was a major support of Gateway’s capital campaign, and we are honored that Gateway’s Library and Learning Center bears our name in recognition of our partnership. First Niagara holds a seat on the Gateway Community College Foundation board and has supported its annual Hall of Fame fundraising event and the annual scholarship luncheon.
