Larry Laukhuf Family & Friends

The Lawrence Laukhuf Scholarship is in memory of Larry Laukhuf who worked at Gateway Community College for 10 years. After a career in publishing, Larry worked in the Central Duplicating Office, overseeing work-study students. He cared deeply for their welfare, encouraging their studies and often giving them financial support. When Larry was diagnosed with cancer, his co-workers throughout the college, donated their sick days so that he would not suffer lost wages. Upon his death, as a tribute to his generosity and in gratitude for the generosity of the Gateway Community College community, his family established this scholarship.
